The current global COVID-19 pandemic has led to a national lockdown and the imposition of social distancing measures in order to reduce the impact and spread of the virus, unfortunately this renders the delivery of a classroom-based course impossible.
As such, on March 19th 2020, a decision was made to cancel all classroom-based courses up until 12th June 2020 and the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORs) team have worked to develop alternative courses for most offences and currently offer online alternatives for Speed Awareness, Motorway and What’s Driving Us courses. However, at the time of writing, it has not been possible for an alternative to the Safe and Considerate Driving (SCD) course to be made available, due to the practical, on the road requirement.
The Lancashire NDORs team are working hard to make contact with those eligible to complete an NDORs course and advise them of their options. If you are interested in completing an online Speed Awareness or WDU course for Lancashire offences, please visit http://www.ndors.org.uk/booking-an-online-course/ where you will be guided through how to book with simple instructions.
If you were eligible to complete an SCD course for a Lancashire offence, the matter will be referred back to Lancashire Constabulary, who will be in touch to clarify what you need to do next.
May we take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and understanding at this unprecedented time and remind you to Stay Safe.
